North Woods Fishing Report: Early September

North Woods Fishing Report: Early September

James Stewart September 03, 2021

September is a great time for fishing in the North Woods.  Temperatures are ranging in the mid 60's and low 70's with plenty of cloud cover and precipitation for the next couple weeks.  As of late, the muskies have been moving towards the shallows on the Manitowish Chain in the Far North of Wisconsin.  Under these early fall conditions, local guides find that spinnerbaits, such as Rad Dog Spinners and Figure 8 Boss Spinners, produce regular musky strikes.  Water temperatures in the North Woods are now in the mid to upper 60's, so also get the Suicks and Jerkbaits ready for the cooler water.  In preparation for the cooler temperatures to come, it's a fantastic time to get your Quickset Rigs ordered and ready to go.  Musky Shop has suckers at the ready for tougher conditions to help you guarantee success.  Happy fishing and tight lines.
