The C3 series features instant anti-reverse and a 6 pin adjustable centrifugal brake, stainless steel bearings, chemical nickel coated level wind system, carbon matrix drag system, padded handles and a synchronized level wind. These reels also have brass gearing. The 6500 has a lineout alarm. L- stands for left hand models. 5500/6500 has 24.5" of line per handle turn. 7000 has 23.7" of line per handle turn.

My 6500c3 has stood up to 2 tough condition canadian trips and many a large fish caught and released on it. I am using larger baits now and am going to the 7000 model but it's a great reel.
