These Sevenstrand leaders are made with a special plastic coating that is designed to be fused. There are no crimps to weaken the wire. Shrink-wrap is then installed to prevent any sharp ends from cutting you or your line. The coating also prevents damage to the fish. Solid wire leaders are also shrink wrapped. All components are saltwater quality and will withstand anything that a musky or pike can dish out. Very kink resistant.
