Butter Broiled Trout

Ingredients

  • 2 trout fillets (about 6-8 oz each)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler – Set your oven to broil and position the rack about 6 inches from the heat source.

  2. Prepare the butter mixture – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  3. Arrange the trout – Place the fillets skin-side down on a greased baking sheet or broiler pan.

  4. Brush with butter – Generously coat the fillets with the butter mixture.

  5. Broil – Place the trout under the broiler and cook for 4-6 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  6. Garnish & serve – Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

This dish pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables or a light salad
