Happy Thanksgiving from The Musky Shop

From all of us at The Musky Shop, we want to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and say thank you—truly thank you—for your business and support. We greatly appreciate every one of you.

For me, Thanksgiving is a special time to reflect on the past year, and it doesn’t take long to realize just how blessed I am. I’m thankful for you, our wonderful customers. I’m thankful for my incredible staff. I’m thankful for my family and friends. I’m thankful for muskies (of course!), and the list goes on and on.

But when I think about everything I have to be grateful for, the one thing I’m most thankful for is the gift of salvation.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8-9

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?”
— Matthew 16:26

For me, it’s a no-brainer. I asked Jesus into my heart in fourth grade, made Him the Lord of my life, and placed my trust in Him alone for salvation. Of course I’ve sinned and fallen short hundreds—if not thousands—of times, but God is faithful and just to forgive.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
— 1 John 1:9

I hope each of you will consider inviting Jesus into your heart and letting Him live within you. When we truly do that, we begin to see real change and fruit in our lives that only Jesus can produce. There may be stumbles along the way, but when we repent, turn from our sins, and put our faith in Jesus Christ alone to save us, we receive the promise of eternity in Heaven with Him.

To me, that is the greatest reason of all to be thankful.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by those you love, and that you catch plenty of big muskies yet this season—or next!
