Ice fishing has been very good with a lot of fish beging caught here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

We are kind of in that in-between stage as the big lakes just froze up 4 days ago.

The game fish season in northern Wisconsin has come to an end.

The Wisconsin game fish season is winding down as it ends March 5th 2023. Ice fishing has been quite good despite the swings in the weather.

We have had a few really cold days that slowed things down a bit but that cold blast is gone now and warmer winter temps are on the way.

We hope you are having a great winter and are getting out to do some ice fishing.

Fishing Report for Early January

This month’s lake, Moen Lake, resting just east of Rhinelander in Oneida County is a great place to hang your ice fishing hat without leaving all the creature comforts behind.
